You will be pick up to you hotel around at 09.45pm, when you ready at
10.00pm then the driver will bring you to the selo village which is
located close to the merapi mt. Merapi is one of the active volcanoes of
java island and it’s still active. When you arrive at the selo village,
you can take a rest for a moment around 1 hour in the small guesthouse
for drink hot coffee, hot tea and recheck what’s that you need to bring
for climbing. At 01.00am, you start the trecking tour. It is trip tour
from 9 km up ( difference of altitude is 1500m ) and 9 km down , it is
exchausting you start the trecking tour. After people are amazed from
the great view on the top merapi, you can see around central java, see
djogja and the sorrounding villages, panorama on other mountain is
merbabu mt. ( next to the merapi mt. ) For stuff preparation,you need
mountain shoes or mountain sandals, warmer clothes, ( jacket, long
trousers, pocket light, and if it possible bring stick to make a
balancing your body when you are climbing. And if it possible you also
bring the second T-sirt for change after you were climbing, because you
will sweat, or dirty after climb.
On the tour there are more special guide who will give you intruction
all along climbing. For 1 guide will respon sible for 1-3 people. A
small snack, drink and breakfast is included. When you are climbing you
can define your own speed, the guide will walk fast, medium, or slower
groups. About 05.00am you will reach on the peak of merapi mt. You will
enjoy sunrise from on the top of merapi, relax, and the beautiful
panorama. After you enjoy it, at 07.00am, you go down will arrive in
selo village about at 10.00am, here you can enjoy breakfast, take a rest
for a moment after that drive back to djogjakarta. You will arrive in
djogja about 12.00 noon.
